Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Spring)

Join a dedicated team building claims and payments infrastructure for a US healthcare client. You'll own service architecture decisions, not just implement tickets.

Responsibilities

• Design and build microservices handling high-volume transactional workloads
• Participate in architecture review and mentor mid-level engineers
• Work directly with the client's engineering leads across a 4-hour daily overlap window
• Own service reliability, including on-call rotation for production incidents

Requirements

• 5+ years building production Java/Spring Boot services
• Experience with PostgreSQL and event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar)
• Comfortable communicating directly with client stakeholders in English
• Prior experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance) is a plus

Nice to have

• AWS certification
• Experience with HL7-FHIR or similar healthcare data standards
